Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1-2 dates pitted, optional for sweetness
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Equipment

  • High-speed blender

Method

Prep Your Ingredients
  1. Gather all your ingredients, ensuring everything is prepped for a smooth and quick blending process.
Load the Blender
  1. Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender. Start with the unsweetened almond milk at the bottom, then add the almond butter, chia seeds, collagen powder, cinnamon, and the crucial tiny pinch of sea salt. Finally, pile in the frozen cauliflower florets, frozen mixed berries, and optional dates.
Blend Until Smooth
  1. Begin blending on a low speed to get things moving, then gradually increase to high. Process for about 60-90 seconds until the smoothie is completely creamy, vibrant, and free of any chunks of fruit or cauliflower.
Adjust Consistency (If Needed)
  1. If the smoothie is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons more unsweetened almond milk at a time, blending briefly after each addition until your preferred consistency is reached. Avoid adding too much liquid at once, as it can quickly become watery.
Adjust Sweetness (If Needed)
  1. After blending, give your smoothie a taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add one or two pitted dates and blend again until fully incorporated and smooth. The sea salt will help balance the sweetness beautifully.

Notes

For the smoothest, coldest, and creamiest texture, always use a high-speed blender and frozen cauliflower and berries. Consider soaking chia seeds in a little almond milk for 10 minutes before blending for improved digestion and extra smoothness. This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately. If making ahead, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and re-blend briefly if it separates.
