Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 package (4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple with juice (undrained)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)
  • 1¾ cups non-dairy whipped topping, thawed

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Rubber spatula or large spoon
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Serving dish or trifle bowl

Method

  1. Gather all ingredients. Make sure the whipped topping is fully thawed for smooth mixing.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pistachio pudding mix, crushed pineapple with juice, and miniature marshmallows until well combined.
  3. Add chopped nuts and stir gently to distribute evenly.
  4. Fold in the whipped topping using a rubber spatula until no white streaks remain. Do not overmix.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap or transfer to a serving bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve cold, optionally garnished with extra nuts, whipped topping, or maraschino cherries.

Notes

Use cheesecake or vanilla pudding if pistachio isn't available (note color change). Swap nuts with almonds or sunflower seeds. Homemade whipped cream can be used but may reduce stability. Add maraschino cherries for extra color and sweetness.
